Problem / 01
AdRoll's business in advertising was undergoing a big change due to some platform-level adjustments. The executives at AdRoll wanted to find a new product opportunity to cross-sell in order to combat the flatlining spend of their category and increase share of wallet from existing accounts.
Solution / 02
AdRoll's CEO brought in LeapMotiv’s experienced roster of venture builders and product operators to 1) run a lean discovery process on existing customers to identify their top problems, and 2) validate the demand by signing up pilot customers. The first 2 months were focused on nailing the articulation of this new product, using the voice of the customer as much as possible. The latter 2 months was focused on signing up co-design partners so that there were strong product fundamentals out the gate.
Result / 03
After a quick 4 months, AdRoll had 20+ pilot customers for a new product opp without distracting the existing product team. LeapMotiv was able to act swiftly alongside 2 designated contacts from the AdRoll side. Status updates and shared learnings were distributed on a weekly basis. At the end of the engagement, there was a company readout of the learnings.
